1. Who we are
Bouletteproof Ltd ("Bouletteproof", "we") is a company incorporated in Mauritius. This policy covers the website at hikr.io. It does not cover the Hikr product itself when deployed on a customer's website — that is governed by the agreement with that customer. For anything in this policy, contact info@bouletteproof.com.
2. What this site collects
This site measures its own traffic using Hikr, the product it describes, running in cookieless mode. It sets no cookies, writes nothing to local or session storage, reads nothing back from your device, and loads no advertising or social tags. There is no consent banner because nothing is stored on or read from your device, so there is nothing to consent to.
You do not have to take that on trust. Open your browser's developer tools on this page: the cookie jar and local storage will be empty. The tracker is served from this domain at /hikr.js, not from a third-party CDN, so you can read exactly what it does.
What we measure is the page: which URL was requested, when, the referrer, and coarse technical properties of the request. It is not tied to a persistent identifier, so we cannot follow you between visits or across devices — and neither can anyone else from this data.
Two other things:
- Server logs. Our hosting infrastructure records standard technical logs — IP address, user agent, request timestamps — for security and operation. We do not build profiles from them.
- Email you send us. There is no contact form on this site. If you email info@bouletteproof.com, we hold that correspondence in order to reply to it.
3. Why it is worth saying how
"Cookieless" is often used loosely, so to be specific: the tracker on this site is configured with cookie storage disabled and device storage disabled, as two separate settings. Both are needed, because they control different things — disabling one and not the other would still leave data on your device. We publish this because a measurement claim you cannot check is not worth much.
If we ever change what runs here, this section changes in the same release.
4. How we use data
Page measurement is used to understand which pages are read and how people arrive. Server logs are used to keep the site available and secure. Email is used to answer you. That is all.
5. Data sharing
We share data only with Google, which hosts this site on Google Cloud Platform, and with anyone we are legally required to disclose to under law, regulation, or valid legal process. Page measurement is processed on our own infrastructure — it is not sent to a third-party analytics provider. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
6. Retention
Page measurement is aggregate and carries no persistent identifier. Server logs are retained for the period configured on our hosting infrastructure. Correspondence is kept for as long as it takes to handle it.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to processing, by emailing info@bouletteproof.com. There is no tracking consent to withdraw on this site, because nothing is stored on your device to withdraw it from.
8. International transfers
This site is served from Google Cloud infrastructure with primary hosting in Australia.
9. Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page with an updated date.
