We're Chris and Charlie, a couple of hikers who met in London in 2016 and subsequently developed a love of nature and all things outdoorsy. Over the last couple of years we have been on countless hiking trips in the UK, including the West Highland Way in Scotland and a 5 day trip through Snowdonia. At the end of 2017 we left our city jobs to embark on a new, more adventurous life in the countryside. We completed a 600 mile section hike of the Appalachian Trail between March-May 2018 and are now planning our next expeditions. Spending sixty days totally immersed in nature helped us to decompress and appreciate a simpler life, however we were left wondering whether hikers could do more to preserve trails for others.
We strongly believe that nature has a positive impact on mental and physical health, and can help increase awareness of important environmental work such as wildlife conservation and reduction of pollution. Everyone should have access to nature-based activities, but the wilderness needs to be preserved as much as possible to keep it beautiful and unspoilt for others. We believe in the ideals of Leave No Trace and want to promote this within all our hikes.
